Hi all! With you, Viktor Mouse (and Tatyana), you went to The Fool Blog and this is a review of the Ruiner game!

Due to the fact that it was on the day the game is released, my computer broke down, I am very late with this review … Nevertheless, thanks to this I managed to get acquainted with the couple of the already released, and approach my own in more detail, because the race has already been lost in time.

And you know what I noticed in already released reviews? Almost complete absence of any information regarding the game. Either all the fault is the phenomenon, or the conveyor, but the information in them is much or more than in my minute, for which they constantly present me (I need more information). Therefore, Sorryan, if the review came out slightly protracted, but I really have something to share with you!

And even at the time of writing the script, a patch was released, who made this review not relevant … Hmm … in general, I decided to leave everything as it is, but in the end I will make a separate remark in which I will tell about all the changes and how the game is now felt.

I think it is worth starting from the very beginning, namely, from the first trailer, who left on April 21, 2016, by the way, on the same day I celebrated my 22nd birthday … (Again? You will now PR in every review?) Hmm … [nod/shook your shoulders]

And looking at the trailer, I caught fire right for her! I entered himself the phrase “Perfect Future is Here” from the trailer in status, subscribed to Twitter of the game and began to patiently wait for his hotlin Miami in Cyberpank-Voin.

Two days later, the first gameplay video came out, III … In general, that’s it!

For all a year and a half of expectations, at least some sign of life, the game has already filed on E3, after which the next lull is almost up to its release, which, incidentally, was postponed from 2016 to 2017. So over the past year and a half I have already managed to forget, burn out and bury it twice about her twice. (Wait, Mouse! Why are you telling all this?) Well, firstly, then that I really monitored the development of this game and waited for its exit, and this is so rare that it would be appropriate to call it a phenomenon. And secondly, because we will still return to this one and a half years in the future. Well, okay, perhaps there is enough lyrics, go to the review itself!

I said a little earlier that I expected something from this game in the spirit of Hotlin Miami, and, God, how was I wrong in this comparison! After all, the closest game was a transistor. (What? Mouse, you again sniffed there glue there?! Where does such comparisons come from?) I will explain. Both Ruiner and the transistor are designed that we constantly stumble upon the waves of enemies, beat them off, after which we continue our path. While in the hotline Miami at each level, a fixed number of enemies, which are always in sight. Also in the ruler and in the transistor there are two fighting modes, namely: tactical – in the transistor this is a kind of tactical pause, in the ruler, this is a tactical cheap. Yes, he does not stop time completely, which is why you need to think faster, but he does not have a kuldown. And real time. Of course, I doubt that it is possible to pass the transistor in real time, but the fact of the presence of such a regime is available.

Plus, in the ruler at a normal level of complexity, firearms are practically not used, respectively, as in the transistor during the attack, we are in the immediate vicinity of the enemy. And these are not even all similar moments, you can cling to both the change of skills during the game and the idea to leave due to stylization and soundtrack. But all these are trifles, so I do not see the point of focus on them … I think I was able to explain enough for such an association. Better let’s take a little more in more detail the game itself!

Stylization. Stylization in this game is simply gorgeous! Technological slums, permanent slooper, contrast gamma red, black and blue shades, various gllesh effects, colorful characters, neon, hypex, gloomy sai-fi atmosphere! Yes, damn it! This game is saturated through cyberpancam and style! And also these emoticons in the dialogue … Damn, I don’t know why, but I directly trudge from them! And this is strange, because in the same VK I try to avoid people who draw such emoticons in correspondence. (Maybe because for the game it is a little unusual?) It is quite possible. Unfortunately, the visual component is the main plus of this game.

Soundtrack. Say that the ruiner does not reach the transistor or the hotline by Miami Soundtrek, he means nothing to say! The first half of the game, he is more like some kind of set of sounds, which, although it escapes the atmosphere, is not very pleasant to listen to this. The second half of the game we hear a very average soundtrack … Perhaps I’ll throw something in the playlist, but he definitely does not cause a “wow” effect. And with the fact that it is the second half of the game that proceeds in the eternal Sloum, it is normal to enjoy the soundtrack and do not give us.

The brain of the protagonist is hacking an unknown hacker who sends us to heaven in order to kill the boss … (Heaven in this case is the name of the location). After we get to the door of the office of that same boss, it intercepts control over our brain. Hoker girl who seems to be our friend. Unfortunately, for our hero, for the security of Hacker, our younger brother was stolen, whom we have to find.

Of course, at the end the game was stored by a certain twist, but for me personally it was quite predictable. However, we will be honest! The plot in such games is needed for a greater extent for a checkmark so that the gameplay is not really meaningless. Therefore, I do not see the point, to kick this game for a weak storyline.

Gameplay. The gameplay itself is cool! It was he who was supposed to become the main plus of this creation, but in view of the broken balance of difficulties, the same enemies and the uselessness of most of the weapons, already by the middle of the game the gameplay gets bored, infuriates and generally the desire to continue the game disappears. For example, on this boss I got stuck for two days, simply because I could not force myself to go into the game.

All this unnecessarily complex and monotonous gameplay does not throw any challenge to the player, but simply tires, for the murder of enemies and bosses turns into a routine after dozens.

Difficulty – simply broken. (Maybe your hands are not growing from there?) Yes, but no. When I still made myself go into the game, I already scored Achivka for difficulty and decided to get acquainted with other difficulties. And you know what? Hard was not so far from normal that I repeatedly went into complexity settings and chose hard, because I thought that he simply did not install. Then I still noticed the inscription “difficult” on top and realized that the differences were minimal. Then I decided to put Izi and the game became so light that the boss can be killed stupidly standing still. I even for clarity by my feelings, I drew the scale of the complexity of this game. In general, after I changed the difficulty for Izi, I went to the “s” rank all the subsequent battles, but I didn’t even try.

Monotony. Despite the fact that new enemies and bosses constantly appear in the game, already by the middle they are all the same. Indeed, new enemies appear at best at a time in a pack, otherwise – the difference is only visual. I don’t know if this was noticed by those who played Izi, but on the same normal it becomes obvious due to a large number of faals. Here for example, various kinds of kamikadze. There are cripples and there are harpies, but they are no different even from bombs in the prologue. There are simple soldiers, there are not simple soldiers, but there are harpies. Absolutely the same enemies, with small exceptions. And these enemies are my favorite at all [I no longer remember what kind of enemies were there: D]. Die from one blow and even in comparison with the previous ones are very easy. Yes, the emphasis was on the fact that they are awesomely fast, but the problem is that by this moment the tactical cheap becomes the main element of gameplay and catch up with such enemies is not difficult. And here is the bosses: mother, an angel, another angel, again a mother, again an angel, mother, an angel … cyborg, another cyborg, another cyborg, cyborg, cyborg … And you can also remember 50 shades of the nerve (well, here you are already hyperbolize, there are only about 15 bosses in the game). Yes, there are only about 15 bosses, only half of them are Refights with similar bosses that are not much different from each other, why it is boring to cut them to become bored. Also, all levels in the game are quite monotonous visually, I certainly understand that in such a setting it would be difficult to come up with something that would be very different from what we already have … Nevertheless, it was possible to work at least over the lighting. As for example, here, in addition to red and orange lighting, we also see blue, which already distinguishes this location from the previous. Accordingly, they make different lighting in different sectors, this would already impressively diverse the same type high-tech corridors.

Well, and, little by little about everything – there is too much slum. It is certainly cool, epic, but sometimes very annoying. You are jumping to the enemy, and you cannot jump out due.

The game is very linear. You can get lost except, by setting a low brightness, for it is quite dark. But even in this case, it will take no more than 2-3 minutes to search for the exit.

There are a lot of enemies infinitely. At first, this is fun, but closer to the end is already bored and you begin to think: “Well, what for them so much, damn it?! When this battle will end?!»As for me, it would be better to make a little more skirmishes, but with fewer enemies.

And there is also no voice acting in the scenes. I personally do not give a shit, because there are not many scenes that could be voiced … But as it turned out, for many it is a huge minus.

The city is one of the best parts of the game. I would not say that it is some kind of special, nevertheless, it conveys the atmosphere of an unfavorable area that the gang of psychopaths refuels, and people are sold to the organs. Plus it is alive and it pleases. For example, here you can find a couple in love, who will soon part, or another, in which the guy constantly complains to a bad life, and then disappears. And there are enough similar points here if you observe all this. Unfortunately, for the entire game we will fall into it only three times. But here you can break cats! Moore!

Additional quests are light and do not require any special efforts. The most difficult thing is, perhaps, to look for coins. I never found them all, although, it would seem, as they could not be found.

Pumping skills. Again, someone complains that she is rather scarce, but, as for me, for such a game just right. You can come up with several builds for different situations in both near and distant combat. Plus them can be pumped during the battle, which is also convenient. The game sometimes throws differing from the usual situations in which it will still have to change skills.

The maximum level is 25th, but even after its achievement, we will continue to receive upgrades.

Lack of collection cards. For me this is much more a significant minus than the lack of voice acting in rare scenes. There are so many colorful characters that could be placed on the background in the profile. For example, I would put this girl on the background … or even this … well, or at least this one … Yes, maybe the protagonist would have set it up if such an opportunity. But she is not.

And now, after all of the above, I would like to remember about those one and a half years. Than the hell, they have been doing all this time? (Well, starting from gameplay rollers, they remade almost the whole game. Made a prologue instead of a tutorial at the mechanics. Removed the map of the world, if you can call it one. The effects of post-processing were redone. The arts of some characters were redrawn, for example, her and the sorcerer. Added statistics after serious battles and introduced thresher for processing weapons. Also karma now lies in chests, not on the floor. It can also be assumed that instead of sisters there used to be a mother. And judging by the cyborg behind the sorcerer, most likely there was a fight with him, after a fight with the nerve. A little changed the skills of some enemies and the appearance of these skills. Accordingly, starting from all these changes, most likely slightly changed the plot). III? How. damn it. They. engaged. One and a half. their mother. years?! HOW? (You are a fool?) Yes, I’m a fool, don’t pay attention.

And there should have been a result, but more appropriate to start making a remark. On October 4, a patch was released, which runs the balance of difficulties. He makes a light game even easier (just why, it’s not clear), the normal difficulty is now really normal, and hard … hard has not changed much, but, in my opinion, it also became a little easier. They also increased the speed of the flight of bullets, which in theory was supposed to make a long-standing weapon more viable, but it still sucks the ass! Fixed the rabbit of Had after one of the cyborgs. I had to cross the game to the fix, right now, in this regard, everything is fine. Well, so many minor lines regarding skills, weapons and behavior of some enemies. If interested, you can get acquainted with everyone in Steam yourself. As a result, I have nothing more to seriously find fault with this game. Well, unless the monotony did not get anywhere. However, in connection with the renewal of complexity, right now this monotony is not as obvious and not as annoyed as before. Yes, this is still a fatest minus of the remaining ones, but it does not spoil the impression of the game. I will say more, even with all the minuses that were in her before the patch, she cost her money. This is a good top-Dawn Slesher. (You wanted to say a shooter) No, I said exactly what I wanted. We recall all the futility of firearms and the number of enemies in the game. This is precisely Slesher!

So what I mean? Oh yes. This is a good top-Dawn Slesher at a time when even the top-downs of shooters is not so many. Although, if you think, then there were always few. This is a very stylish cyberpunk game, with a rather unique gameplay. (Wait! You yourself said that the game is like a hotlin Miami and a transistor, what uniqueness is about then?) And really, the “ruiner” is very similar to the already released games. But despite this, she gives a completely different game expirence, in view of her crazy dynamics. On the one hand, you are given all the necessary tools for passing, in the form of various skills and weapons. On the other hand, if you are damaged for a second or two, instead of making cheap or turning on, then most likely you are a corpse. Most enemies can kill for one or two seconds if you find yourself in the wrong place, not at that time. And in such conditions you will be constantly. And although they kill in one in a hip for one blow, it is played differently, because mostly there is always time to think about how and who is better to eliminate. There is practically no time to think here and you need to literally think over everything on the fly. Well, like you finish – you fly – you think … (right now, you would have your thoughts to explain. ) Right now, being a voice synthesizer to blame there. (but this is a shame) I know.

In general, I got lost again, so I will only say that the game is definitely worth its money! Let her not without jambs, however, she gives an unforgettable game expirence. Plus developers are engaged in her. Many of my complaints have already fixed, soon the cards in Steam will drive up. And even possible, even DLC will be released in the near future. For, judging by the world map from gamed rollers, there are no three chapters in the game itself. That is, about about six hours of game, if you start from the declared eight – on the prologue, three chapters and epilogue.

And perhaps my final assessment for this game is a/10! The game clearly does not pull on “s+”, but “b” I can’t put it after the fix!
